Mark Hart is a guitarist and songwriter living in Toronto Ontario. Mark is a graduate of Humber College’s renowned music performance program, and has studied privately with Canadian classical guitar virtuoso Alvin Tung and French fingerstyle master Pierre Bensusan among others. Besides writing and performing as a soloist Mark also performs with his own band ‘Carly and Mark’ and performs with several original groups such as ‘Shawn Clarke and the Green Hearts’ and ‘The Strip’.

Mark is also an accomplished songwriter both with his group ‘Carly and Mark’ and as a singer-songwriter. In 2010 his song ‘Roots and Crown’ was nominated for the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award (Ontario Arts Council/OCFF) and his writing has also been nominated for several Toronto Independent Music Awards. Mark is currently working on his first solo album.
